Bayadère headpiece - Tocado para Bayadera

Romantic ballet named La Bayadère takes place in India. The main character is Nikiya, the temple slave, who is in love with Solor, a warrior. The Brahman, main priest of the temple, wants Nikiya for himself, while the Rajah arranges Solor's marriage with Gamzatti, his princess daughter...

Here's the other Bayadère themed headpiece, one of the two twins I've recently made. It follows the lines of the Gamzatti one in a different, simpler way (see Gamzatti headpiece). Again, aluminium golden wires, furnitures, golden beads, faux pearls, crystals and some golden flowers right above the bun.
My classmate and I used them both to dance a pas de deux variation, and she's recycling it as a Nikiya headpiece.

You can see myself in the picture below wearing this headpiece with the costume I made to dance with my classmate. Everything is handmade except the pancake tutu underneath the blue upper skirt -that one is a rehearsal tutu by Menkes.

El ballet romántico de nombre La Bayadera se ambienta en la India. El personaje principal es Nikiya, una esclava del templo, que está enamorada de Solor, un guerrero. El Brahmán, el sumo sacerdote del templo, quiere a Nikiya para sí mientras que el Rajá arregla el matrimonio de Solor con su hija la princesa Gamzatti...

Aquí os dejo otro tocado con temática Bayadera, una de dos piezas gemelas que hice recientemente. Sigue las líneas de la tiara de Gamzatti de una manera sutilmente distinta y más sencilla (ver tocado de Gamzatti) . De nuevo, alambres de aluminio en tonos deorados, cuentas y fornituras doradas, perlas falsas, cristales y algunas florecillas doradas sobre el moño. La compañera para la que hice la pieza gemela y yo las usamos para una variación de paso a dos, y ella la reciclará después para bailar Nikiya.

Podéis verme en la imagen inferior con este tocado puesto junto con el traje que hice para la variación con mi compañera. Todo está hecho a mano salvo el tutú que hay bajo la sobrefalda azul y dorada: ese es un tutú de ensayo creada por Menkes.
