This cute victorian inspired headress is made of white lace over silver grey satin (100% polyester). It features a hand sewn white lace trim on the top edge of the crown, a matching silver grey satin ribbon with back bow and a combination of fluffy and straight greyish off white rooster feathers. This lovely piece will add that special touch to any lolita, victorian or steampunk inspired looks.

An elastic has been attached to the surface to fit any head contour and get that perfect inclination.

This headdress has three layers of fabric for extra stiffness: an inner layer of white felt, an intermediate layer of strong fusible interlining and the outside layer made of white lace over silver grey satin . The brim features a hidden wire hoop at the edge to keep its shape and its surface has also been covered with lace and satin. Everything has built up together using a combination of machine and hand sewing.

2nd pair of gaiters

These asymmetric black gaiters are made of black polyester damask and lined with striped black and ivory cotton. Lining is finished at the top edge with black satin bias tape. They close at the sides with four silver/greyish blue buttons and under the arch with two snap buttons to fit almost any shoe heels.
Both gaiters are ornamented with cameo-styled handmade ornaments. The one on the right instep is a hand painted (acrylics) cotton piece featuring flowers and leaves in sepia colours, surrounded with cream corded lace trim and pleats of the same lining cotton. The left gaiter shows another cameo-styled decoration with cream cotton corded lace for the oval shape and framing handmade cream cotton ribbon roses, fluffy pieces of ivory tulle, organza bows, pleated black lace trim and pleats of the same lining cotton.
Two bows of grey and black satin ribbons besides the buttons add the final touch to each gaiter.

*Instep ornaments: Both gaiters can be finished using the same decoration for both instead of different. you can choose your gaiters to feature the hand painted cameo-like ornament or the handmade roses and fluffy tulle piece. Please make sure to convo me your decission at the time of purchase. If not, I assume you prefer your gaiters to look exactly like the ones shown on the pictures.

Medieval Mourn

This gorgeous medieval-inspired outfit has two parts.

The corset is made of black heavy cotton velvet, interlined with two layers of cotton canvas and lined with black satin. It closes at the front and the back with black corset lacing featuring antique metal eyelets and grommets, which also can be seen closing the attached off-the-shoulder short sleeves at the sides. The corset has been hand embroidered at the front and back pannels using delicate silver thread (this took about 4 months of hard meticulous work) and glass silver beads, metallic beads and black diamond (smoky coloured) crystals. It also features a waist tape, a combination of spiral and flat steel bones, black satin bias binding and black ellegant trimming on the edges. The incredibly wide black chiffon sleeves -which are shorter at the front and longer at the back- are detachable, so the corset can be short or long-sleeved depending on the ocassion.

The skirt is made of black velvet and lined with black satin as well. It features an ellegant A-shape and train. I kept it simple as I wanted the embroideries on the corset to get all the attention.

I finally made a kind of medieval fantasy inspired headdress to finish this outfit. It's made of silver plated chains, the same beads of the embroideries, metal rings, old earrings, crystal chains, and some imagination.

I hope to have a proper photoshoot for this outfit, as this pics can't show the real visual impact of seeing it all on the raw.

This unique steampunk inspired mini top hat headdress is made of beige striped cotton with gold thread detail and ornated with cotton corded lace trim on the brim, riveted leather and short-haired fur flowers -various tones of brown and beige- and rooster feathers with wooden buttons. The rivets are in an antique gold colour so they fit the rest of the headdress. This one is perfect for spring-summer or even early fall events and matches perfectly any earthy coloured victorian or steampunk inspired look.

A metal comb is attached to the surface so you can pin it easily to your hair. If you prefer I can set an elastic instead, please let me know at the time of purchase.

Este tocado inspirado por el movimiento steampunk está hecho de algodón beige a rayas con un delicado detalle en hilo dorado y adornado con encaje de bolillos de algodón en tono crudo sobre el ala, unas flores compuestas por varias capas de piel y cuero en varios marrones remachadas al sombrero, y plumas de gallo con botones de madera. Los remaches de las flores son en un tono dorado viejo para conjuntar con el estilo del tocado, que es perfecto para eventos de primavera y verano, o incluso inicios del otoño. Encaja muy bien con cualquier look de inspiración victoriana o steampunk en colores terrosos.

Burgundy silk mini top hat - Mini chistera en seda granate

This elegant victorian inspired headress is made of burgundy silk. It features a hand sewn black corded lace applique at the front and a black corded lace trim around the crown. Both ornaments have been hand embroidered with black glass seed beads and black crystals for a more distinguished appearance. The brim stitching has also been covered with black seed beads in groups of three. The final touch is featured at the surface: a thin black organza ribbon has been pleated creating a beautiful pattern all over the same brim stitching. This wonderful piece will make its best in gothic victorian inspired looks.

Esta elegante mini chistera inspirada por la estética victoriana está hecha de seda granate. Lleva un aplique de encaje negro cosido y bordado a mano con cuentas y cristales negro, así como una puntilla negra en la base de la corona. La costura en el ala también esta cubierta con cuentas agrupadas de tres en tres. El toque final lo pone una estrecha cinta de organza plegada formando un bonito patrón en la parte inferior del ala. Esta hermosa pieza lucirá mejor coronando un atuendo inspirado en la estética gótica y victoriana.

Lleva cosida una goma para colocar el sombrerito fácil y rápidamente, y conseguir el inclinado perfecto.

This mini top hat is made of black damask and ornated with two red fabric roses, some pieces of black tulle and a tiny black wire dragonfly. A metal comb is attached to the surface so you can easily pin the headdress to your hair.

Esta mini chistera está hecha de damasco negro y ha sido adornada con dos rosas rojas de tela, unas piezas de tul negro y una pequeña libélula hecha de alambre negro. En la parte inferior se ha colocado una peineta para facilitar la colocación del tocado.

Tanto la construcción del tocado como el tamaño son los mismos que los de mis anteriores mini chisteras.

Classical tutu skirt - Tutú clásico

This black classical tutu skirt is my last creation for 2011. It's made of 10 layers of black hand pleated tulle -two upper layers of softer tulle and stiffer tulle for the rest- plus an extra double layer to encase a black steel hoop in between 4th and 5th layers (counting from top to bottom). This hoop helps to support the skirt and makes it look flat. All layers have been attached to a black lycra slip which features a wide elastic waist band and thiner elastics in the leg holes seams to avoid displacement when dancing. Note that the very last pics show an upper view and bottom view for you to see how it looks like and to show how the layers get shorter as they get lower in the skirt featuring a gorgeous fluffy effect and offering support for the upper layers at the same time.

Every building stage has been carefully handmade by me, from the sewing to the pleating and quilting. Please note this is not a rehearsal skirt but a professional looking one. I've taken pics of the skirt only for you to see how it looks like, but it actually will be part of a whole specially designed for ballet performances outfit.

Este tutú clásico es mi última creación del 2011. Está compuesto por 10 capas de tul plisado a mano (las dos superiores de un tul más suave y el resto de tul fuerte) más una capa doble extra para alojar el aro de acero negro entr las capas 4ª y 5ª (contando desde la superior hacia abajo). Dicho aro tiene por función ayudar a mantener la forma aplanada de la falda. Cada capa se ha ido cosiendo a la braguita de lycra negra, la cual lleva una goma ancha en la cintura y otras más estrechas en los agujeros de las piernas para evitar que la falda se mueva al bailar. Las últimas imágenes muestran las vistas superior e inferior para mostrar la apariencia de la propia falda y cómo las capas se van acortando según van descendiendo para dar sensación de mullido y esponjoso a la vez que soportan las capas superiores.

Yo misma he llevado a cabo cada parte de la construcción de esta falda, desde la costura hasta el plisado y el acolchado de las capas (una especie de hilván para mantenerlas juntas pero dando un aspecto mullido y liviano). Se debe tener en cuenta que esta falda no es un tutú de ensayo, sino una falda de aspecto profesional. He tomado fotos de la falda sola para mostrar su apariencia por sí misma, pero de hecho formará parte de un traje diseñado especialmente para espectáculos de ballet.
